Cornwall Meadows Homeowners' Association

A Country Place
about us
Cornwall Meadows was built on a farm that originally belonged to a local Patterson family. The house on the left as you are coming down the main driveway was the farmer’s residence. The Meadows was initially built as an adult community but evolved into the family-oriented community it is today.

Construction began in 1986. Future homeowners had three beautify finished models to select from. Full page advertisements where taken out in the New York Times real estate section which lured many New York City residents to move to the "country". The community was finished in many different increments. The 100 block was built first. The sales office was located in Unit 123. The original builder started building the 300 block. After completion of blocks 100 & 300 he started the first half of the 200 block.
As the housing market took a turn for the worse in the mid-1990s, the original developer was willing to make changes to the inside of units to lure buyers in. Many units have finished basements, bathrooms laid out differently and kitchens with formal dining rooms. Cornwall Meadows was then purchased by a different development corporation, who finally finished the complex in 1998.
The sales office was moved from unit 123 to unit 213. The developers did make minor changes to the layouts of some units. There were originally three different models to choose from. The Davenport, which has a master bedroom on the main floor, the Bedford which is a two bedroom unit and the Aspen, the smallest of the units, which in the original sections had a master bedroom upstairs and a loft.
The back of the 300 block abuts to the protected New York State wetlands ensuring that no other buildings would be built behind Cornwall Meadows.
.
The community is comprised of 97 units, a children's play area, club house, 2 water fountains and a pool.
